I accept patients from all the major medical schemes. The sessions are paid according to the tariffs as set out by the medical scheme. We will assist with applications for your PMB (prescribed minimum benefits).

There is often confusion as to what benefits patients are entitled to for mental health conditions. The current legislation requires medical schemes to provide their patients with a MINIMUM of 15 outpatient sessions and/or 21 inpatient days. This is drawn from one basket of care, which means that as you use the outpatient benefit, the inpatient benefit is also depleted ; and vice versa.

For my private patients, the rates are quite competitive and follow guidelines as set out by PsychMG. The initial 50-60 minute consultation is R2700. Follow up sessions will be either half hour or a full hour, dependent on the need. Half hour sessions are R1800.

Prescriptions outside of appointments cost R250. Please submit requests timeously, at least 3 days in advance of need.

Fees are payable immediately after consultation.
